Triumph Lofts

Located on the popular Atlanta Beltline, this historic factory building was once a storage facility for motorcycle parts.  The building is now home to 30 residential lofts, complete with a full fitness facility and office center.  Paying homage to the vintage motorcycles that were once housed onsite, the project is stripped down to essential, core design elements.  Concrete, glass, steel, and wood dominate the material palette.  If any piece of the existing structure had a limited purpose, the item was removed.  A wood and steel trellis stands on four cast-in-place concrete piers to provide shade to the building’s west side.  Steel I-beams create the XXX.  Shared common areas for the residents surround a community swimming pool, an outdoor fire place, exterior kitchen, and a heated whirlpool.  The second phase of the project incorporated 40 more residential units and a commercial office/retail component.
